Created the full brand identity for Say Hello, an independent self-studio concept focused on making professional photography more accessible, playful, and self-driven. The project included logo creation, visual direction, and a flexible identity system designed to reflect creativity, self-expression, and modern content culture.
Say Hello needed a distinctive identity that could introduce a new kind of photography experience: a self-studio where people could create professional-looking content on their own terms. The brand needed to feel approachable, modern, and expressive while standing out in a visually competitive market.
Because the concept centered around self-expression and fun, a traditional or overly corporate identity would not connect with the intended audience. The challenge was to create a brand system that felt youthful, memorable, and highly shareable, while still maintaining enough clarity and professionalism to build trust as a real business.
The identity also needed to work naturally across multiple touchpoints, including digital platforms, signage, merchandise, packaging, and future marketing content.
My approach focused on building a brand identity that balanced playful energy with strategic functionality.
I began by defining the emotional direction of the brand: accessible, expressive, modern, and creative. Since the experience was centered around people creating their own content, the identity needed to feel inviting rather than intimidating.
The logo was developed using custom typography and integrated smiley-face elements hidden within the letterforms, referencing facial expressions, personality, and the joy of capturing moments. This helped turn the logo itself into an experience rather than simply a name.
Color selection played a major role in shaping the personality of the brand. Bright pinks, warm yellows, and energetic orange tones were chosen to communicate fun, confidence, and a contemporary social-media-friendly aesthetic.
The overall system was designed to remain flexible across merchandise, printed materials, environmental branding, and digital applications.
The final result was a bold and recognizable visual identity that positioned Say Hello as a fresh, modern self-studio experience.
The custom logo system gave the brand a unique and memorable presence, while the playful visual language reinforced themes of creativity, individuality, and self-expression. The identity was designed to perform strongly both online and in physical spaces, making it adaptable for cups, merchandise, signage, packaging, and promotional materials.
By combining strategic branding with expressive design, the project delivered a cohesive identity that helped transform Say Hello from a business idea into a brand people could instantly recognize and connect with.
